98 Re-built tranny

98 With rebuilt tranny & 80K, worth buying?
A little advice please. I'm going to look at a 98 vert A4. Car has everything I want but there are 2 issues. First is that the transmission was re-built this year by a GM garage. Owner says there was a defect? GM warrants this for 3 yrs 100,000 miles. Any one heard of this? The second issue is that the car has 80,000 miles. Present owner has had for 5 years and states that the car has always been garaged and had excellent maintenence. He is asking $21,000. Would you walk away due to high miles? Or try to buy at a low price?
