I use an AC Hydraulics Jack. It's not lightweight at all but it is super low profile and I can slide it right under the nose of my Z which is lowered 1" and jack it up from the crossmember and throw some jack stands under it.

I love my AC Hydraulics Jack, too, but it's not only heavy, but HUGE. If you want a more portable jack to take to the track or for stealing wheels, you're better off getting a smaller, low-profile aluminum jack.
There are some horror stories out there involving the cheaper racing jacks from Harbor Freight, but I've been using their $130 jack with moderate use with no problems for years. I think people just don't use some common sense when they get under their cars, sometimes. Let's be careful out there!
Thanks for the input. I'll go check out the Sears one. I think the AC one looks awesome, but too $$$. I'm hoping to get one that goes up to 21", as I'm currently using one that goes to 15" and it doesn't pick up the rear of the C6 high enough, even with a block. The rear cross member is too high. Can't even get the jack stands in when fully elevated unless I use two blocks on top of the jack.
Btw, in case you're wondering, I posted this here (C5) rather than my usual hangout (C6) b/c I figured you guys were more experienced in these matters!
I've got two racing jacks from Harbor Freight for use on my lowered SCCA T1 Z06. One works great, one doesn't. Next time I'll pick up the one Sears sells which looks to be a solid piece for the money.
Good deal on low profile jack and stands. Purchased it about six months ago and it has no problem under my C5 or my Miata. Very well made piece of equipment with billet aluminum jack stands.
