I need a damage estimate
I hit a deer yesterday and was finally able to get a good look at the car last night just around dusk. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how close my car may be to being totaled. When I hit the deer, it went under the car and got caught up in the area where the air dam is and then ripped on down the bottom of the car and out the back. The impact to the radiator forced it upward cracking the housing that surrounded it and dislodged the air filter box. The air dam is pushed all the way back to around the oil filter and it looked like the oil pan was damaged, but I didn't notice any leaks. Obviously, the front fascia will need to be replaced and it looked like the hood was off a little. The right headlight also did not close entirely, but may just need an adjustment. I am wondering how major this is and if it will be close to totaling the car or not. Sorry no pictures yet, maybe tonight.

Based on what you have found so far, I'd say it probably will not be totaled. But, its the hidden damage that will have to be looked at to see how much worse it is. Hope it all works out for you.
