I am in the market for a supercharger for my 02 ZO6 and with so many choices, I was curious as to what your opinions might be? I was looking at Magnuson, Procharger, Vortech, and some others, your advise would greatly be appreciated.
Since you're in MD, check out www.eastcoastsupercharging.com They're in Cream Ridge NJ and have recently switched to the Paxton Novi superchargers. On a stock Z06, expect close to 600 rwhp with their kit.
Will those folks install the entire mod system. Any idea how much the entire application would cost? I live in Ohio so I could leave the car there until they finished.

...at least not on pump gas.
Due to the Z06's high compression, you are only going to able to run MAYBE 6 lbs. INTERCOOLED.... safely. Your horsepower is not going to increase 65% from 6 lbs. of boost. It's simply a matter of mathematics. You are looking at something more like a 30% increase. Now buid a built bottom end with 8:1 compression, and that's a whole different ballgame.
Then again, let me put this out there, I used to work for ProCharger, I built a turbocharged 600HP Mustang, and now I am getting a Z06 because I like what they do stock, and with AFR heads and a cam, all naturally aspirated.
Personally, I wouldn't use aftermarket forced induction unless you like to work on cars or never drive it.
Although, I do respect the work that Lingenfelter did when he was with us, and his stamp of approval means something to me on a product.

Obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about and you know because you worked for Procharger. But, before I decided to go with a forged engine, they had my car at 600 RWHP and 540 RWTQ ON PUMP gas running 8 lbs of boost safely. This was with headers and methyl injection. Look at what Andy got on a bone stock Z06 with his Vortech setup. I belive it was 580+ rwhp. So no Mr. Procharger, it's not BS. I guess everyone out there running stock Z06's at nearly 600 RWHP are all full of crap too...right?
maggie, installed by lingenfelter....if your in ohio, they are right next door....as far as the hood issue, my new hood makes the car, there is nothing special about a stock hood, hell you can buy 'em all day long for a hundred bucks, so a new hood costs you a grand, by the time your done a maggie system will cost you 8 large

And yes, as DR. Ron says, call Doug or Chris at ECS. They'll tell you exactly what I just did.
Settle down there, Natalie. You just "decided" to build a new bottom end for no good reason?
Methynol injection changes things quite a bit.
I don't believe anything a manufacturer or a shop tells me over the phone or on the web.
I trust science.
I trust personal experience.
I have NO affilatiation with ProCharger.
Stock Z06s with 600 rwhp being driven and beaten on (What's the point of that rwhp if you don't?) on a regular basis and being problem free? Yes, I say they are full of crap.

All I'm sying is call ECS or Andy. Don't listen to the non-believers.

600 rwhp was easy with a 8 lb. ATI Procharger/Carrol Vortech over five years ago on stock bottom end Z06. No big deal.
Try getting close to 800 rwhp with an STS single turbo on a stock bottom end with many miles on it. We did it on a 5,000 lb. 5.7 truck. No meth. This was a while back.
