I had my airbag replaced at the dealer and now my steering wheel seems to be slightly off center. Does the wheel have to removed to replace the airbag?
Thanks
The shop manual requires replacement of the clockspring if it shows damage from airbag deployment, and that requires steering wheel removal. If they did not mark the steering wheel hub before removal, they perchance they got it "off" by one tooth. Did the repair invoice show replacement of the clockspring?

Take the car back to the dealership to service this issue.
The airbag did not deploy. The red airbag light has been lit on the ip for a while so they replaced the airbag module under warranty ($900!).
I will be taking it back. It's annoying .
If they only replaced the airbag control module, then they did not have to remove the steering wheel, just the center console and the HVAC control to get to it. However, some of the the stories I have read on the Forum leads me to believe that not every dealer has a well-trained "Corvette Guy" in his shop, and consequently some "fumbling around" happens, and things are torn apart for no good reason, and not put back together correctly. Heck, maybe they hit a curb during the 'test drive'?
I spoke to the service writer today and he told me they did remove the entire steering wheel. They obviously re-installed it a bit off. I will be taking it back on Wednesday .
