I haven't had a chance to test drive a C5 yet, been raining every day I have time. How tight is the drivers seating position? I'm not tall but as Pontiac likes to say.....wider is better............if you know what I mean.
I am 6'3" and weigh about 260. With my seat all the way back and down, my knees are only about one inch from the dash. The only real problem I had was latching the seat belt. My leg was so close to the center console, I had a hard time reaching the buckle. I ordered two 9 inch seat belt extenders from the dealer (at no charge) and everything is fine now.
At 6-2, I'm closer to c5 Bears Fan than Z06-Lite but I have no size issue. I would not want my legs any longer though (that's why I quickly passed on the 350Z convertible).
With two titanium knees at age 60, it was initially difficult to manage entry/egress, but after a few tries, I found the method that works for me and I can now zip-in zip-out. I did ride as passenger in a friend's C5 last week and had some difficulty with my left hand latching the seatbelt. I don't intend to be a C5 passenger often enough to get that move down.
I have been able to maintain my current mass so don't need the extenders yet.

I was able to get in a C5 today and found the fit quite comfortable, not much tighter than my 05 Grand Prix. I have bad knees too and found getting out of the car a little tricky and painful. I'm sure I'll find the right method soon enough.

Thanks for the replies.
Try turning and placing both feet on the ground first, then use your left hand on the curved part of the door sill (next to the door latch)with your right hand holding the door pull, and support your weight as you rise. Helps a lot for many folks. HTH
