Battery Tender ?
I am putting the corvette away for winter.
What is the best battery tender i can use for an OPTIMA Red Top battery?

This will be my 3rd winter using a Battery Tender and it has worked just fine for the past 2 seasons.
I also am maintaining an Optima Redtop with mine.

just make sure you get a tender that monitors the charge and not just a trickle charger that continuously charges at low amperage.

i bought a schumacher from wal-mart for $17. It broke after one winter of use. I am going to have to find another.

What you want is generically called a battery float charger.
Harbor Freight has them on sale for under $10. I have two ,bought my brother 2. All 4 work great!
you can't beat the price.....

I bout mine also at Harbor Freight for about $ 13. a year ago and it worked great all last winter.

Battery tender plus that's it.Plug it in hook it up and you are all set.
Bought mine at pep boys.

I have one of these and it works great... It monitors the charge and I have no problems... but mine's not quite TWO years old... I'm living on borrowed time?

I have the 12 volt Deltan. It is $55 out of Eastwoods last catalog. Works great. Has 5 yr warranty and is fully automatic. Will charge the battery and then go on float and only charge when the battery falls below a cetain level. It will not cook your battery.

I have also have the Sears model. Some areas in the instructions are incorrect though.

havn't quit yet,use them all the time not just in winter time....
