It doesn't look like there was any hard shifting done? i thought the c5 t56 tranny could hold decent hp??? What are limitations of the stock tranny?

probably has something to do with the 702rwhp... I bet before he built that engine, he had been to the track alot and beat on the tranny with the old motor. Then add a new motor that makes that much hp and boom. The way the shifter wouldn't move, he probably broke a shift fork. The 97-00 C5 Vette had aluminum shift forks. In 2001 GM changed them to steel because of a few breaking and to help with the added HP the Z06 made..
