Ok well a few months ago i installed a HUD in my 2001Z and well the install was pretty easy but i screwed up on the cutting of the dash part. I over cut it a little. So now it looks ugly and i have been tryign to figure out "creative" ways how to get rid of this problem.
I will try and post some pics of the screw up but so far this is what i did.
I ordered me a sheet of carbon fiber VINYL and i wanted to paste it on top of the HUD brakcet and see if i can cover the extra cut but the VINYl is too reflective.
can any one else think of anythign else ? I want to get somethign made of black leather with red thread to go over there but i can't seem to find it.

Don't have a solution to your over cutting on the dash, other than maybe find a used one cheap and try again. Not sure if you could find a vendor that specializes in repairing dashes and see if they can fill in the area.
