Late to the party, but this thread inspired me. After 20 years of wanting a c5, I finally graduated to the Vette club for my weekend toy. I’ve owned lots of Gm and Fords. I live just outside of Detroit and have family members that work at both companies. This site has been great, and I’m happy to finally join. 2004 C5 completely stock 17k miles.
2004 with 17,000 miles. Still smells new.

Ya, I was excited to find this car, I’m sure I’m going to put a lot more miles on this. I’ve wanted a yellow corvette since I was 16. Back in the 80s my boss had an 86 yellow Indy pace car. He let drive it and clean and detail it, the looks I got driving it have been burned into my memories. So a yellow corvette has been something I’ve wanted since I was kid.

And yes you're right on Shakey! I've come to love it.
I wasn't up for a "look at me" color, yet I definitely didn't want red, black, or silver, nor blue. Vettes are noticeable, and I really didn't want to be that noticeable; only subtly, if that makes sense... (kinda stealth). I live in a one horse town and its the only yellow C5 in town. I'd say there is about maybe 5 C5's here in BFE.
