First I would like to thank everyone on the forum for having so much information. I will be buying a 2003 coupe next thursday. I have wanted a corvette for the last ten years and I'm finally getting one. I know it is going to be a big difference from a 2002 Audi TT Quatto to the Corvette. I'm just excited and thought I would share the news and let you guys know that this forum converted me. Thanks again
You will love the C-5. The power and handling will amaze you and you will get many compliments on your ride. Be sure and plan on making the pilgrimage to the Corvette Forum Cruise in Bowling Green, Kentucky next May. You will have a blast and get to meet a lot of great Corvette owners, plus see some super Vettes from all over North America.
No regrets! Only tons of great memories to be had and friends to be made. The corvette community is unlike any other. Congrats on the purchase. Actually I can think of one regret, not being able to drive it in the winter, although some members would disagree with me.

After I posted my smarta$$ attempts to be funny (sometimes I can't help myself - just in a smarta$$ mood today...)I read Brian's reponse and re-thought what I wrote.
The truth is that there is no other car that I know of that can bring people together like the Vette can. 53 years of legacy and an international following contribute to this.
I have made some friends with other Corvette owners that will be my friends for the rest of my life - both in person locally and here on the Forum. Corvette people are different. I have never seen a group of people that will jump to the aid of their fellow owner like these people.
Corvette people are passionate about their cars, and the lifestyle that goes with it, whether that means shows, racing events, cruises, social events or whatever. You are in for a treat. With the Audi - you were an anonymous owner of a German car. With the Vette - you are joining a fraternity of folks who love their car.

I have seen so many instances of kindness and generosity here, oftentimes between people who have never met each other in person. Hang around for a while and you will see examples of this time and time again. Tons of great corvette people here. Dont forget to wave out on the road .
