Reason it took so long, obviously Ken was busy doing many other projects, this was one of these projects that was done in between, but most of all it had to be done just right, as I wanted the stripe to run done center that ties the rest of the interior together...they came out perfect. Don't know if Ken will be doing more though

Sure,

First, give yourself plenty of time and DONT rush the job,

Put top down. slide seat all the way forward and lock the backs forward.

1. Remove the Waterfall, four torque screws two on top and two on lower side. Carefully lift up and I wrapped a towel around so it would not get scratched, put on bench.

2. Remove metal plate on the back on the latch that holds down the rear panel that lifts up for the top. There is a wire wrap holding the electric wires, us needle nose to push throw...Two bolts on front of panel hold this in. You need to remove this plate to remove carpet, it holds down the carpet.

3. Remove Console storage box, two bolts in on back under little covers, and two under the switchpanel in front of console box, you have to gentely pry the switch panel up to access the two from bolts.

4. On the side of the car, remove the trim around the convertible top hinges on the side and remove the lover trim panel side to sill. This is easy, but you will need to open seat belt trim to get to bolt that support seat belt on side, be careful when you pry this open. Remove seat belt support bolt, also the trim you will notice on the side a rubber push bolt,,,carefully remove.

5. When all this is removed the carpet should come out easily. Remove carpet from the back wall only.

6. Fit the bar in (one at a time). and make sure the top clears the side.
Do same opposite side. Center bars to the center of seats.

7. This is the most teadiest part, as you will adjust the bars several times before you have them aligned. You might need to use pennies between the bar base and the wall to make them align even looking at them sidewars. In my case I did not they fit perfect.

8. I used a red sharpie and maked around the edges when they were aligned. Remove the bars after they are marked.

9. Using Liquid Nails, lay down you glue. I used it liberally but made like a checker board pattern so the glue would spread easily, but do not over do, especially around the edges. DO ONE AT A TIME.

10. Put the bars in, align and double check to make sure the top goes up and down and the bars are centered on the seats. Let sit for 24 hours....better to get it solid so you can work on carpet.

11. Once bars are set, now here comes the hardes part, making the holes in the carpet. I simply measured the bottom of the bar, offset the measurement using the island latch as my center piont, cut two long slits in the center of the top. I measured the top and cut in the center., area the bars were, slide it over the bar, layed over bars then with a sharpie holding carpet close to bar made for marks on outside of base of bar. Two marks on onside of carpet where bar was and then the other side.

12. Using the tube from the liquid nails, removed the carpet, aligned the outside marks and drew the circle using the tube as the templete.

13. Cut out the holes, put the carpet back, made the fine adjustments, removed carpet again to cut, put carpet back, it fit perfect.

14. Using carpet tape sealed the center where the slit was made.

15. Reverse the process of putting everything back...

FINISHED.

Key it thinking what you are doing, and taking your time.
