Default battery tender question

i was playing around with the stereo and i guess my battery went a little to low and when i turned off the radio and tried to start the car it wouldnt start and got message low voltage. so i hooked up the battery tender and it showed charging then it flipped to trouble. will the tender reset and charge the battery? if i remember from last year this happened then it charged the battery or am i wrong. will this cause a problem? help asap thanx brad

You didn't say which brand/model battery tender you have, but check the instructions that came with it. Many have a built-in safety feature that will not allow them to start charging if the battery is nearly dead or the battery voltage is below a certain point. If this is the case, you'll need to use a regular battery charger.
