Could be. Last 6 digits start @ 100001 for each year. 10th digit in VIN is the model year.

Apparently so. According to the C5 Registry, my VIN was started on 8/4/99, and the document from SpongeVette has 8/5/99. The Registry has your start date as 8/10/99. They show about 150 VINs a day. No Saturdays or Sundays @ that time.

My build sheet is still in the frame.

I found one member's '01 just 5 days behind mine.
Mine is 1/19/01 with the last five numbers of my VIN 19168.

No, it's not that you have a lot of time on your hands, it's just that this is what we do! Drive, drive, drive, and when not driving we are posting, no time for eating, or sleeping, just drive and post. We love the Forum.

Don't have a clue to what the actual date is, but;

01/01
17811

almost close to RatedX, difference of 1357, that's what, less than 2 weeks?

Looks like we're close our vins are 800 apart. I know that my car was built on the 15th (thanks Spongevette!) and I'd bet you were only 4-6 days after assuming 125 to 150 a day.
