Default 3rd brake lamp

I bought a 3rd brake lamp from an ebayer and I actually got it for about $40 less than that of a new one from Procarparts. My only regret is that the pin connector for the brake lamp is wider, and although I was able to get them close together to fit the wiring harness, it is sticking out and I have to use an electric tape minimize exposure. And then I have to reasel the lens with silicone. All in all I'm ok with it. Can somebody chime in if they have had problems with theirs, particulary the 2 pin connector. BTW, will post pics later.

Yeah, but the sellers description did not match the actual item. It is not in great condition.
Here is his description
This auction is for a Corvette C5/Z06 Euro Clear Third Brake Light in LED. The led's light up red! This is a great addition to your already great looking Vette! The light is in great condition and works perfect. There is nothing wrong with it! I paid about $150 for it when it first came out, so my loss is your gain. Happy Bidding !
Wish I had taken more pics to show the problems but here they are( the problems) the lens/cover is attach by a couple of scotch tape, had to remove the tape and apply silicone all around. The LED strip is attach with a couple of screws to the housing, but the screws a short so technically they are not attach. good thing is I got a couple of longer screws to put in. And the connector pins are to wide for the wire harness, I have to bend them to match the wire harness holes, but the harness tip does not go all the way and I have to apply eletric tape to cover the exposed parts. But overall, I ok with it. Can't dispose of it, I don't like passing of bad items. They do work and I guess that's the important thing.
Here are the pics by the way.

Hmmmm - Looks okay and if thats what you're looking for then you got you're moneys worth. I always hate to pay for a product that is less than advertised. It perpetuates the seller to keep selling "less than advertised" and you're really never sure if your buy is going to crap out on you. Again, if your okay with it, thats the important piece.

I'm sorry, before I installed them I had already fixed the problem. What I meant with the taking pics of the problems was (I wished I had taken the pics of the problem before I fixed it). Sorry for the confusion.

I hear ya. At least it worked out in the end after some hard earned work. Looks good! Leave bad feedback for the guy.

I removed it and cut the long connector tip in half. So far it's cleaner, re-sealed it with silicone and re-installed it. I'm much more comfortable now. The reason I removed it is because of the long pin connector, I was afarid that it might short out becuase of the exposed part. Now it's more sealed and flushed to the socket. I'm happy now.
