My good friend just bought her first vette, an 03 Yellow Z and it came with some nice chromy Z06 rims but when we went to check the tire pressure on the DIC, there's nothing at all??
I have a 02 Coupe not a Z06, so I'm not sure if they don't come with the sensors or if the previous owner just didn't bother putting them in the new chrome rims.
Since the Z06 did not come stock with tire pressure sensors this is normal. You can retrofit the tires with them, just do a search and you will find lots of information on this subject. I'm considering doing this mod when its time to replace my tires.
The stock Z06 wheels and the elimination of the tire pressure monitors significantly reduces unsprung weight, meaning significantly improves performance.

I understand.....but they can't weigh that much right??
I think it'd be safer for her to have them in the tires so that she doesn't get caught with a flat, or at least has some fair warning if she's loosing air pressure.
