is it possible to add tweaters in the area behind the door handels, and keep the stock system? or would this be too much of a headache and just not worth it?
I trashed my entire Bose system. Here are pictures of my new system (lots of picts): http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...66&forum_id=20
I have a DVD/CD/MP3/XM/FM/AM headunit by Sony with a 6.5" Sony LCD monitor mounted in the headliner of my Z (no removeable roof panel. ) All speakers are Phoenix Gold as well as the amps. Wiring is all Stinger. The issue with replacing the Bose system is that you can't get a wire harness to plug into it. You can tap into the ground and hot power wires from the harness, but you need to splice into a switched power wire. I didn't bother with the RAP. Too much for me to figure out at 6:00pm on a Sunday when I was installing the system.
I left the existing Bose speakers but added a 10" Image Dynamics sub, a Kenwood deck (w/Sirius - which was disabled and cabled it for iPod instead) and a Rockford amp.
