Is installing a shift light complicated?

Can this be done without wire splicing..going under the dash, finding the right wires..etc?
Ain't tryin to go to the shop for downtime and spending $$$ needlessy...

I think a shift light would be a great feature to have... since the redline comes up so quickly.... Too bad the HUD has such a small shift indicator.
It would be nice if the HUD had a mode where it showed a LARGE shift message only.... I wonder if there is a way to program that feature in... is it part of the ECM or hard coded on a ROM chip...
I'm surprised an aftermarket tuner hasn't looked into this...

The instructions are good, but ease of installation is relative to your experience. Later year Z06's don't have the power pig tail under the passenger footwell floor so you have to tie into switched power with some form of mini add a circuit fuse. Grounding is best at the passenger door frame location but probably could be spliced into a current ground. Tach pick up is probably the hardest, because you have to get the car up and splash guards off, then find the correct white wire to splice into. Took me a couple of hours, but I always take my time to check and re-check work as I'm going along.
