Read an article by Pat Gross in the latest issue of the National Corvette Owners Association (NCOA) where Pat Gross says, "to prevent sulfur build-up on C5 fuel gauge's variable resistor by adding BG 44 K to the tank every 7,500 miles."
My question is, what is BG 44 K, and where can I purchase it?
It is a fuel system cleaner......... Don't know if it is retailed but I've seen it on ebay
I just purchased some on the web, but also found it cheaper at the dealer. Cost approx $18 a can. I put it in my Vette instead of the injection cleaning at the dealer. What a difference it made. Just in my second tank since I used it. Already I can tell the difference. Especially at takeoff. Fuel milage also coming up. I totally recommend it.
