Need new tires for my 2002 ZO6. A friend is recommending Toyo's. Any comments?

Love my Toyos -- smooth & quiet ride -- a good choice.

Get the R1A's in 275/40 17 and 305/35 18 for your Z06 and you'll be very, very happy.

They are fine, just not as much dry pavement grip according to test reports as others. .

I have heard that the RA1's are very similar to the Nitto 555RII's in performance, make sure to get them in the 275 and 305 sizes as they will fit fine. I have the Nitto RII's and they do well for an R Compound tire as they are great for track days and WONDERFUL on the street. Just remember they probably will only last you 7k or so, but it is SO worth it!

My next set of tires will be Toyo Proxes RA-1's. Next spring I think.

Just put the T1-R's on in September. What a difference in noise and smoothness. Thought I was in a different car. Would recommend them anytime.
