To get official service manuals, go here:

http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2...EJ8M6BC30HD0C9

About 3000 pages for $135.

One of the best investments you can make for any vehicle... I have one for each of mine and get most of them from Helms...

Good luck... GUSTO

Several of the Forum vendors here will usually have some of the best prices on new GM Service manuals:

Fichtner Chevrolet On-Line Catalog

Fred Beans October C5 Specials!

Good luck.

Helms offers a retail set on DVDs, not CDs for a $400. Or for only a few dollars more ($1200!) you can get the set of DVDs with three future updates. These apparently cover information on service manuals (all sections of the manual) 1998 though 2005. Service Bulletins and Campaigns 1980 through current. 1996 & 1997 Engine and Transmissions (section 6 & 7). For all models of cars, not just Vettes.

My guess is that it might be harder to use for the average home guy because of all the extra vehicles and years covered.

Helms also offers a "portfolio" for the owners manual for the 2004 vette ($35) and one for the 2003 "Anniversary for $60. My guess is that this might be a leather cover or something similar to protect the owners manual in the glovebox. Anyone have one of these and can tell me?

I just received my $35 owner manual "portfolio" for my 2002 Corvette from Helm's this last week. It's got the leather portfolio, the owner manual, a VHS tape, a pen, a little penlight, and some of the miscellaneous other paperwork that usually comes with a new car. Since the owner manual by itself was $25, I thought I got my money's worth for the extra $10. I'm a sucker for those leather portfolios anyway.

Thanks. Sounds like a steal to me, although for some reason they want $60 for 2003. I'm ordering one.
