My 03 has several electrical gremlins. I replaced my battery last week at the recommendation of the local Chevy dealer and the majority here on CF, to an Optima Red top. Prior to the swap my telescoping steering stopped, the radio did not work and I had frequent dead battery. The Delco was 6 months old. After the swap the dealer reset all my problems and so far, so good. However, I am having another odd symptom. My radio stations are changing each time I start the car. They seem to be jumbling themselves around. I set them in very specific order and the order changes itself, sometimes ever moving from FM1 to FM2. Anyone else have this? Am I in for more problems? Was the battery really the problem, or is it something else?
sounds like to me u possibly have accidently picked up your 2nd set of keys and the memory is going back to your other keyfob setting .....had another guy on here a few monts ago and that turned out 2 be the problem ...drove him nuts ...
Hey, I just posted a thread titled "Headlight Gremlins"! Funny how many of these little problems are out there. Picking up key fob #2 was even a simpler answer than I would have thought of and practical. I had a bad battery issue due to a bad cell, and a jump start would only last until I stopped and turned it off.
Recently, I had a momentary problem with the seat adjustment, A/C, and a few other electrical functions not working. My Vette was spitting all kinds of codes at me. My passenger who had had a 2000 coupe told me that I was having a problem with my LDCM, and he'd know since the same thing happened to him. I just reset my codes, shut the door firmly, and the problem "went away".
