Default Does rear vert partition really work?

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a rear partition for my convertible, i mainly want to get it to try and block out some of the noise. Does it really work? If so, how much of a difference in noise reduction did it make? Thankyou!

Partition works great in the Z06

Significant noise reduction.

Not sure on the Vert but just get one with a money-back guarantee. Lots of vendors sell these so you should be able to get it no problem.

Good luck

Yes, I bought one from Crazy cowboy.
It lets you hear the stero better and eliminates all the drone form the Borla's

I am very pleased with it. It works and has outstanding quality

Yes - it does work (less road noise, better 'hearing' the rear speakers, keeps the trunk space clean, protects the top where it is stored, etc.).

I used the ones from 21st Century (Andy 972 417 7177). I really like his since it can be 'custom made' for your car (color, insert(s), etc.).

Here are a couple of pictures (click to enlarge)

Wish I knew the secret to keeping it mounted properly. The amount of velcro is insufficient to keep it secured properly. I find that I am constantly pushing it back up into place. It sure looks cool though.

We found that the foam divider made a significant difference. Definitely worth the money.

Mine came from Ecklers. I'd say it's best to keep things from rolling or sliding forward. It sure doesn't have any sound effect when top is down. With top up, I'd say it absorbs speaker sound more than it reflects it. I think it needs a hard backing to reflect speaker sound.

Its constructed barely larger than where it is to fit so it stays in place with pressure. It's about 2" thick foam covered with matching carpet material so it looks like its made for the car.

Got mine from Crazy Cowboy and it helps a little with the noise, but the Lloyds mat helps it even more. Together, you can notice the difference.
Hope this makes sense. It's late.

I got my partition from ExoticVette.com along with a sound insulation kit. The combo of the insulation and the partition have quieted down some of the exhaust resonance and just muffled the exhaust enough to make it noticably quieter at most speeds. As an added measure, I got a Lloyd's cargo mat. With that, it has really quieted down at highway speeds.

Since I'm adding B&B Bullets, I had to do something!

Default Super Convertible Partition

I purchased a convertible partition from Brian Matthews at CorvettePartitions.com and I'm VERY pleased with it. Brian received permission from GM to use OEM carpet on his partitions. I have a shale interior in my 2004 and his carpeted partition looks like it came from the factroy. I highly recommend you contact Brian and use his partition. It reduced the noise in the interior too.

Had same problem. Added some industrial strength Velcro to the top where the original Velcro was and it now holds nicely.

Well.... YES it does work. With almost 400 of them built and sold by us, currently in C5's right now, most everyone's happy with it. If you're not let me know and I'll take it back

Pewta - pretty sure you have my partition. If you want to call me (407)221-8040 or email me sales@exoticvette.com I will help you get that thing to stay put

Oh, BTW, they are on sale right now for $140 shipped! Available in black, oak, and pewter in carpet or torch red and shale in exact match pleather upholstered (vinyl that looks like real leather).
