Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a rear partition for my convertible, i mainly want to get it to try and block out some of the noise. Does it really work? If so, how much of a difference in noise reduction did it make? Thankyou!
Wish I knew the secret to keeping it mounted properly. The amount of velcro is insufficient to keep it secured properly. I find that I am constantly pushing it back up into place. It sure looks cool though.

Bought mine from PFYC....paid too much for what I got.
Mine came from Ecklers. I'd say it's best to keep things from rolling or sliding forward. It sure doesn't have any sound effect when top is down. With top up, I'd say it absorbs speaker sound more than it reflects it. I think it needs a hard backing to reflect speaker sound.
Its constructed barely larger than where it is to fit so it stays in place with pressure. It's about 2" thick foam covered with matching carpet material so it looks like its made for the car.
Got mine from Crazy Cowboy and it helps a little with the noise, but the Lloyds mat helps it even more. Together, you can notice the difference.
Hope this makes sense. It's late.
I got my partition from ExoticVette.com along with a sound insulation kit. The combo of the insulation and the partition have quieted down some of the exhaust resonance and just muffled the exhaust enough to make it noticably quieter at most speeds. As an added measure, I got a Lloyd's cargo mat. With that, it has really quieted down at highway speeds.
Since I'm adding B&B Bullets, I had to do something!
I purchased a convertible partition from Brian Matthews at CorvettePartitions.com and I'm VERY pleased with it. Brian received permission from GM to use OEM carpet on his partitions. I have a shale interior in my 2004 and his carpeted partition looks like it came from the factroy. I highly recommend you contact Brian and use his partition. It reduced the noise in the interior too.

Had same problem. Added some industrial strength Velcro to the top where the original Velcro was and it now holds nicely.
