Walked out to the garage this morning and found that a f.....ing cat had clawed it's way up to the covertible top where it looks like it either puked or pissed. The results are not good! I washed the top with soap and water and a soft bristle brush and it still shows a little - at least wet. The hood has surface abrasions from the cat slipping to gain control. That will teach me not keep the cover on.
Any advise on cleaning the top and removing the surface scratches (they're not deep but they show up real well on the highly shined black paint)???
Ok guys.......I remember when I was in High School I discovered my neighbors cat in the trunk of my new Monte Carlo SS.............I didnt want to be cruel to the cat so I decided to put the cat in my car a few days later and drive him to a park (About 10 Miles from my House), I figured someone will pick him up and keep, well I was wrong........I saw the cat back at my neighbors house about a month later. I think he learned his lesson because he never did it again, and everytime he saw me, he ran away.
I will try a pressure washer on the roof, not directly but maybe from the side, if not Kill the cat!~
I’d post my pic again but then it would get deleted again. I hear more about how cats are messing up our cars than anything else. Hey, did you know there is more than one way to skin them? I heard their fur and some good rubbing compound will get a cat scratch out.
Karma can be a bitz, you all total jerks remember that. Too bad so many of you dont deserve to have such nice cars.
I think the people who have recommended killing or cooking the cat are just being funny. Givin the opportunity, I really don't think they would kill or cook the cat.

Be glad it wasn't a dog. I had a dog jump on my 89 vert once. The scratches went deep. It's irresponsible pet owners that need their azzes handed to them. I feel your pain keeping a black Vette nice.
