Default Shock replacement

I just finished lowering on stock bolts. After letting the suspension settle for a few hundred miles I will want to go from the stock shocks to some Bilstein Sport shocks. Anyone know of some good tech tips/directions/write ups on shock replacement for the C5? Or, is this a lot of hassle and is paying a suspension shop a better alternative? If I have a brake/suspension shop do this what should the labor run?

Thanks

You can do it! Just replaced my Z51 shocks with Bilstein sports and it took me an afternoon, off and on. The hardest part is your postition when working. I did not have a lift so I got a workout. You will notice a difference right off when corning and mostly accelleration. The car dose not squat as much. I found a few helpful sites that I will try to post.

I just finished lowering mine and putting the Bilsteins on. Wasn't a hard job at all. Here's the link I used for some DIY info. Once you get it up in the air, it really is stright forward and easy. Good luck!
