This might be a dupe...but then again i haven't been around that long.
I came across this picture on the internet and couldn't help but notice its corvette-like resemblance. Is this some type of corvette prototype or something. it looks sort of like a c5 mixed with a Porsche or something. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this car and is so...please tell me

I forget the exact model and year, but it's a mid-engine Corvette prototype from many years ago. If necessary I can look it up another time, but it's very late right now.

I believe that that is a photo of the Corvette Indy Prototype Car. The car was introduced in 1986 at the Detroit Auto show. Here is another photo of it with the 3 Chief engineers, Zora Duntov, Dave McLellan and Dave Hill. It could also be the CERV III which I believe came out in 1991. Here's a link to a page about the Corvette prototypes.
why didn't they produce them? seems like they had the "Ford GT" image long before the Forg GT did...looks pretty cool- but the greenhouse effect may be rough in South Florida!
