Hi all. Awesome site you've got here. Tons of reading for me to do.
Anyways, I'm a college student saving up to buy a C5. Hopefully I'll end up with a Black 99 M6, and this black/tan interior is what I desperately want.
Thing is, I've been looking around ebay/autotrader/etc and have yet to come across another one like this. All seem to be just black/red, pure black, or a mid graphite kinda color. Did interior options change via different years? Is this black/tan combo rare?
Oh, and if you could point me in the direction of any newbie guides (first mods to do, acronym list, etc), that would be great.
Oh, and if anyone could point me to a thread discussing the differences in model years, that would awesome. I'm having a hard time finding anything with the search.
Good luck with the search for your perfect car. The interior is more rare than the black but as many as 15% of the cars in a given year that it was available had the pewter interior. You will also find an oak interior done the same way. As far as places to look at differences over the years. You can start by poking around here:

A friend of mine has a black /tan conbo, it's not rare, this is rare! [IMG][/IMG]
In '99 they made 33,270 Vettes. Of those, 7,235 (all versions) were black. Couldn't find a tally on Light Oak (tan) interior (RPO code 673), but your picture looks like the Light Grey interior (RPO code 923) of which, 3,128 were built. Pretty long odds but they're out there somewhere. You have to patient if want a particular color combo and year. Took me 5 months of waiting and looking to find my Mag Red with Lt Oak interior.

Mine is pewter and black too - and I love the combo with a black car! I get a lot of compliments on the combo. It's not that rare - but you see a lot more black/black than black/pewter or black/lt. oak.
