Default A better mouse trap !!!!!

It is getting close to the time to put my FRC up for the winter. Does anyone have a fool proof method to prevent mice from setting up house in my car? I have had my c4 closed up but noticed today mouse dropings on the carpet.I dont want this to happen to my c5 when in storage. Thanks

I would definitely remove the fuel rail covers, put steel wool in exhaust pipes. buy a box of moth ***** at Walmart, divide it into 6 zip lock bags,
poke holes in the bags, putting 2 under the hood and 4 at the base of each wheel on the inside of rim. i dont have any suggestions for the interior.
good luck !

Default Me too, but not anymore!

I had the same thing...every spring I'd find seeds and mouse poop in the upper end. Not nests, so I guess the meeses were just having a picnic in a cool ride. Up on jack stands, surrounded by bait, nothing worked. Until now. I invested $200 and bought a "car jacket". It's kinda like a big ziploc bag for your car, and the vettes (and yes, one 67 mustang) come out looking as clean as when I did the final detail. I have used mothballs in my Motorhome for years works great. I use them both inside and in the engine compartment. The only problem is removing the odor in the Spring, you really have to air it out. I would put them on paper plates never directly on seats or carpet.

It's best to put moth ***** in an old sock...but I would not use them in the Vette..... also they sell High frequency mouse deterrents at Home depot... there is no smell, a three pack cost 16 dollars, they use very low watts.. you can put one in the engine compartment , one in the cabin and one in the trunk... they work...you can find them in the inside seasonal department...

I have heard that dryer sheets are effective as well. Anyone else have this experience?

Good ideas. I have one of the electronic rodent repellent devices and so far it has done a good job.

I put Irish Spring bath soap in my car when I store it. I put 5 bars in the passenger compartment and 4 in the engine compartment. Supposedly, mice don't like the smell. I haven't had any problems with mice since I started using it. My car smells "shower fresh" for about a month after I take it out of storage.
