i have a 2k corvette coup, love it!. recently my fob quit working and i took it to the dealer, he replaced parts and said all was fine but the fob still didn't work properly: never unlocked the right passenger door and wouldn't keep memory. i took it back to the dealer and was informed that the fob training procedure in the handbook did not work any more and that they had to train the fob there. so now everytime i replace a batttery in my fob i will need to take it to a chevy dealer and have my fob retrained by them, a major time waster! i think they put the wrong parts in: door didn't match the primary or something to that effect and instead of admitting they made a mistake and do it right they just jerry-rigged my fobs to work with what they installed. anybody else out there had this problem?

You know it's too! Why would Chevrolet print the manual and go through the trouble of explaining this process and then pull the procedure and not bother to amend the owner's manual.

Sorry, but I've got to go with the Randy and Dave show. I'm calling total I've posted the retrain procedure a number of times for all years and members have used it and it worked fine.
Recently retrained mine with the info. given here @ the forum. Worked perfectly. Even asked my friend that retrains them for a local dealership and he said that those are the correct steps.
