Default Headers Question??

I am in the market for some good LT headers and have read about all different kinds on the forum. so I will be ok with either LG, Kooks or supermaxx.

The question I have is do they all come with 3"x2.5" I know some make them 3"x3" but which one fit better. I rather have 3"x3" all the way to have less restriction in the flow but someone told me there is a lot of modification required for a 3"X3"??

Please let me know of your experiences i would greatly appreciate it.
and what difference does the ASP pulley makes?

Thanks

Here's a vote for the LG's. Three inch all the way and not even close to be anythnig other than a bolt on (no mods necessary).

About the pulley, I'd wait and do it with a cam install since you have to remove the stock one then.

LG's are still on my wish list, but they consistently dyno better hp then any other headers out there. They are made by Borla for LG and are a quality piece. I have never heard a bad thing about them.

I also have the LG's great fit/finish, good sound, bolted up flawlessly and here are the results of my mods on the dyno:

386.54 rwhp and 378.11 rwtq.

I have a blackwing and LG Longtubes with dyno tuning.

Thanks for the replies. Two concerns....

1) I was talking to a forum supplier of header who mentioned that there are no cats made for c5 or Z06 that would be 3" hence the X pipe usually comes with 3" one side and 2.5" from the other side to connect to the cats????

so does LG make 3" Hi-flow cats??

2) I can get kooks headers with Hi flow cats and X pipe for 1330 + shipping where as the LG are around 1700 + for the same set up. Is it worth the difference?

I also have the blacwing on my Z.

Thanks

I have the Kooks setup and I'm happy with them, but in hindsight I would have gotten the LG's. I think the extra torque they produce is worth it. You'll also get a few more horses out of them.
