I removed my borla exhaust and the section before it with a resonator to go with something louder. A couple weeks before this I had the cats cut out as well.
So now I have the exhaust ending about in the middle of the car just about a foot after where the stock cats would have been.
Do I need to get an X pipe or can I have the exhaust shop leave the 2 sides of the exhaust seperate?
This part would slide right onto what is remaining on my car but should I get it? What will it do more than just having 2 seperate straight pipes made. Balance out the exhaust? Change backpressure etc??
You don't have to do anything as elaborate as an X-pipe but I would at the very least have the shop weld a piece of pipe between the two. It helps to scavenge exhaust from the engine.
