I got the CLB from Corvettes of Houston a couple of months ago and finally got around to installing it. All the posts I read say how easy it is and it basically is.
I followed the 97vette http://97vette.com/howto/columnlock/bypassinstall.html instructions but when it came to plugging in the cigarette lighter to retract the lock, I was so glad that the COH kit came with a matching connector plug for this instead of the two bare wires shown in the instructions. It is really tight under there and I can't imagine trying to place the bare wires into the connector without them touching each other. No one has mentioned this in the past.
Not sure if other CLB kits are like this now, but I strongly recommend the COH kit for this reason.
Didn't that scare the shizzle out of you when beeeennnndiiiinnnnggg the large plastic dash piece to get it out. Man, when mine SNAPPED out (no it didn't break) I bout' had to change undies.
I think I have about a 7.3 H.P. increase too.
