Default Help with seat problem....

No it's not the dreaded rocking seat back, as I've learned to live with that. It's the drivers side base, where my tush sits which has at least 1 inch of play forward and back. When I inquired about the problem I was told that it is a $700+ ordeal to fix it. Does this sound right to anybody?? I assume that the seat needs to be removed and the track on the floor needs to be replaced. If that's all that is involved why does it cost so much? Also what part #'s do I need if I supply the necessary parts? I have a '99 C5 vert with power sport seats. Thanks

There was someone on The Forum who would do it for $100, All you had to do was send him the track assembly!! I just can't remember who it was.

I vaguely recall. I'm looking just to get the parts together to have them installed in one shot. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

Try this Tech Tip. It is titled "Rocking Seat" but it attempts to fix the problem you have...the seat bottom moving. Hope this helps
