Fit, form and function, you nailed all three. You added two options I MUST have. It was 18 degree's out yesterday morning when I headed off to work, though the car is garaged heated seats would have been welcome and used.

I've been thinking about doing the Sport Seat upgrade to my 03 Z, for another $300 I can add the seat heaters. This is a MUST HAVE.

The iPOD is another item on my "TO DO" list.

Thanks for sharing, I now have a new winter project.

Tom

Unplug the power seat, plug in a pigtail that has connectors for both the power seat and the heater unit.

I plan on doing these for those cool nights with the top off.
This would make easy enough for a chicken like me to give it a try

Waiting for the write up to see if I think I can take the challenge. 27 here this morning....Burrrrrr

*****! Just another bump!

Hey GTO, I was thinking about your write-up. Is it possible to separate the butt-warmer writeup from the ipod writeup so as not to confuse those that may not want to do the ipod route? Of course it's your write up and you can do it however you like, but just wanted to ask anyways.

The heated seat button switches look like they BELONG. Thanks for that. If I ever get around to it, i'll do this mod, as its below freezing outside now.

I've been workin on it the past couple of days... I didnt realize there would be so much demand on this topic so unfortunatly I didnt take as many pics during the installation as I should have...

Now that I've seen how many people are interested in this install I have been back tracking a bit and taking more pics of my work. Thats the reason why I wasnt able to do an entire write up right away. I have disassembled and reassembled the most important parts of the project and now have many more pictures to work w/. I hope to have the writeup posted by this sunday nite... w/ the cold weather coming I know people would like to start moding their vette asap

I will pm everyone who has responded to this post to let you know when the writeup has been completed

Are you going to do a write up on the iPod install also? I'd like to see how you did the wiring.

Alright ****... The outside temp just dropped to 68 here in Dallas, and I'm starting to freeze. I'm getting frost-bitten over here and its slowly crawling up my leg. My doctor told me that this could have been avoided if GTO posted the heated seat install instructions! I swear those were his exact words.... True story (no lies involved)

No rush bro... Thats just "one" of my many ways to BUMP a thread! Ya know something... My iPod is finally shipping back to me from Apple, so I just might wanna hard wire it like you did. Sick of the FM transmitter shyt.

I'll save BAMFAE the trouble of bumping this thread

They look awsome. I am considering doing this even though I live in Los Angeles. Those nights in the 50's are pretty cold

That is a clean looking install (heated seats).

Is it possible for you to write up the process and post in the Tech tip section?

Sure would be nice, and assist others that are contemplating this mod
