Where the heck are the jacking points under this car? I have a very bad back and getting down that far is hard! And I'm only 26...can someone just point this out, I know it's dumb but I'd rather ask then ventilate my floorboard.
Jacking points are in four locations, front cross member, rear cross member and along the side rocker rails. Those are found either not too far in front of the rear wheels or, not too far behind the front wheels. You can tell where they are as they are kind of an oblong hole where you first insert jacking pucks as seen in pic below.
Yes, but you can make your own. Go to a sporting goods store and buy some hockey pucks and then get some I hooks and screw them into the center of the hockey pucks...should cost you about 5 bucks for 4.
Also the car can be jacked up via the cross member in the front and rear with out pucks...
If you don't feel like making 'em you can get 'em on Ebay.
No link here, don't know if it's permitted, but if you copy and paste:
CORVETTE C5 C6 LIFTING BLOCKS / PUCKS
in the Ebay search box, you'll find the auction. $22-23 plus shipping. A little high compare to making your own, but not bad considering gas and time to buy the stuff and assemble.
