Carmine Red Metallic
I have a '97 that is carmine red also. #5253. There were only 381 carmine reds made in '97. Mine has 96,000 on the clock and still running strong.

That's one of the reasons I chose it. The guy I bought it from had a torch red '98 and a black '98 that I was considering also. But the more I looked at the carmine red, the more I liked it.
Plus, it was a Z51 w/3.15 performance axle.
I really think the CR looks better than the later Mag red II. To me, MR looks more maroon than red.
I'm curious to know how many of these '97's are Z51's. There were only 1077 in '97.
