Can a C6 fob unlock a C5?
My wife was driving our 03 spiral grey/blk/blk vert and parked at the bank to use the ATM. When she got out she locked the car with her fob. She was parked 1 space away from a C6 coupe. As she finished she saw the guy with the C6 get into his car and leave as she was walking back to hers. When she walked up to hers the lights were on like she had just unlocked her car! She didn't try the door, but hit the button and locked the car and the lights went off, and then unlocked it again (and the lights came on).
Can another fob (C6) unlock another (C5) vette?
Don't have that problem in my town because there are about a dozen radio/TV broadcast towers around (highest spot in N. Texas). So, my fob doesn't work at all. Scared to think about owning a C6 here, although I've seen several around. My Acura fob works fine as does the Lexus and my daughter's Mazda. Had a Chrysler that I had to disable the remote or it would lock you in (or out) from time to time. That's a wierd situation to be inside a car and unable to open the doors.
