Default RPO CC3 Translucent Top

Was 2002 the only year that a blue-tinted transparent top was offered? Why did the smoke-colored top go away for that year??

My '02 EB coupe has only the solid top and I would like to get a transparent top later on, but I'm not too sure if that blue tint color would offer any better shading inside the car compared to the smoke color.

The only color transparent top offered from the factory has been dark blue. There was never a "smoke colored" top available. They were dark blue from 97-04 and its the same with the C6.

The transparent tops appear blue from the inside, and smoke (black) from the outside.

They are all the same from 97-04.

All C5 tops have been blue. The last time a bronze top was offered was on a C4.

Thanks guys!! Once I start looking for a clear top, what would I expect to pay for one? I would want one that looks like new, no scratches, weatherstripping in like new condition, etc.

Gotta remember, used is....well, used. That doesn't mean you have to get one all beaten up, but to get one in "like new" condition, you need to go buy a new one.

I've seen nice used ones go on e-bay for as little as $400. New ones go for around $1100-1200.

Call Gene at Gene's Kar Shop (a forum vendor) and tell him what you want. He may not have one in the condition you want, but he'll be honest and tell you the true condition.
