Default Wheel Sizes

I've run across a deal for a new set of wheels - only thing is they are all 18 x 9.5s (both fronts and rears). Anyone running a set of wheels this size? Even if you are not, does anyone see any problems running this setup? I know my tires would have to be different sizes front and rear. Would the offset on the wheels have to be different too? Just trying to explore all the options. Thanks for your help.

No. C5 rears (which are 9.5" diameter) work fine on the front, and with any reasonable tire size, don't stick out beyond the fender edge.

HTH!

Why not spend a 'few more' bucks, and get the correct sizing f/r, at least to Zo6 standard?

what makes them incorrect (assuming the offset is okay). I've seen everything from 16"-20" inch wheels in 8"-13" widths on C5s

it's different than most, but there is nothing to say that it won't work. Most people do like a wider wheel/tire out back, but with a square setup, you'll even be able to rotate the tires.

I've tons of threads going on Wheels right now. Check em out. I'm in the same boat looking for new Wheels. All 18s. There's nothing wrong with this set up. 18X9.5 is standard rear wheel for C5. You can go up to 265/35/18 tire on that. And use the 265 or 275/35/18 in front. Check out my threads for more info..... But this set up works fine !

I"m 18x9.5 on all four corners myself. 275/40s on the back and 275/35s on the front. 275/35/18s will put you within 1/3 of an inch of the outside diameter of the stock 17 inch tires on the front. See my photos for a pic of how they fit

Well guys, all I'm saying is that if had a C5, and wanted upgrade wheels, and keep to factory sizes, I would without a doubt go to the Zo6 wheels. I like the staggered look.

You can have that look by using different profile tires. Get the 40-35 profile in the rear, and 35-30 in the front. Also you can maintain the look by lowering more in the front than back. That would help you keep the angle of rake, and also great for lowered looks. JMHO.
