Help needed with C6 shift knob bolt

Help needed with C6 shift **** bolt
I just received my B&M precision sport shifter and C6 shift ****. I'm noticing that there is a hole on the side of the ****. I read a few threads from Fred Beans Chevrolet stating that he is selling a shifter, ****, and bolt as a kit. My guess is that I need that bolt to keep the **** down tight. Can this bolt be found at any hardware store or do I have to wait another week for this special bolt from GM?

Does your shifter shaft have a threaded hole on the side for the screw (bolt) to go into? If not you will have to drill & tap yourself in a size that you could get from a hardware store. It's a pretty small screw maybe 8-32, 10-32 or 3/16 at most (not sure about my memory as it has been a couple of months). If already threaded, you could test fit various sizes. Sorry I can't be more precise. I have the full C6 shifter in mine.
