Default Code B 0367 H right actuator feedback open

The dealer wants $188.00 for the part and 6 hours at $86.00 per hour to put it in. Total of $746.24 with the TAX included. This sure sounds like a long time to put in a right side actuator.
I would like to have this fixed but I sure hate being overcharged by the dealer again. Any clue of what it really should cost??

Hi Ronnie,

Both the left, AND, right side temperature actuators are well known as notorious and common parts to be replaced in the C5. In fact, if you search this site, look up the responses that I have posted regarding this bane of the C5 AC system. And, you will note that I have even commented to the fact that this part (well known by GM to be faulty) has been upgraded three times by GM! Many C5 owners are not at all aware of this.

Now, you are coding for the Right Side Temperature Actuator, hence, the DIC trouble code of B0367. Although my write up (link provided below) is for the Left Side Temperature Actuator (DIC code B0361), all you need to do is to replace the same part (GM part# 89018365) onto the right side of the AC console. This part lists between $125 to $180. Therefore, do shop around.

In my 2004 Corvette America Catalog, the part number for the temperature actuator is #38387, and, is priced at $129. Refer to page 444 in the 2004 Corvette America parts catalog, and, note the location of part #38387 for the Left Air Temperature Actuator. Now, just look straight across to the matching identical part on the right side of the stripped down exploded catalog diagram. And, you will find that the same part located on the right side of the console is exactly the same as the left, but, merely rotated slightly. In the link below, I describe, in brief, how YOU may access this part and replace it yourself, saving you major dollars. Good luck to you on this project. Be patient. It can be done:
