Default Convertible questions.

Has anyone had any experience with the following convertible add-ons from Mid America:

1. One is called a "Rear Window Pillow", This is a very soft foam filled pillow that is placed on the fold of the rear window as you store the top down. It is supposed to prevent rubbing and creasing therefore protecting the integrity of the top. This seems to make sense, but wanted to know if anyone has tried this product and if there any negatives to it?

2. The other product is called a: "Convertible Divert A Breeze", which appears to be like a long head rest (black leather look vinyl)which spans from the drivers side all the way across to the passenger's side, it fits ontop of the head rest with no modifications. It's purpose is to lessen the turbelence noise. It doesent look bad and looks easy to slide on and off compared to some of the other wind diverters that I have seen which are expensive and have several drawbacks to them.

Both these products are inexpensive; $33.00 for the pillow and only $40.00 for the breeze diverter.

I appreciate your input. Thank You.

I've seen both advertised.....

I don't have either, because I don't feel the need for either. But if you think they might have some benefit, you buy them and let the rest of us know what you think, okay?

I'm not interested in either of those items, I don't think they are needed. I do plan on getting the Vette Net at some point but they are pricey so maybe if we could get a GP I could go for it.

I don't think you need the pillow for a glass window IMO. It's OK for the 93 and older plastic windows.

Based on my experience with the top, I don't think you really need the pillow. I have had my vert for a year and there are no signs of wear. Top material seems to be of high quality.

I have the VetteNet (bought during the last GP), and rarely use it. Doesn't seem to do much at any speed unless you have the windows up. There is a very noticable difference with the windows up, but I rarely dirive in this configuration (better 1/2 prefers this).

PM me if you need any additonal info or are interested in buying my VetteNet.

Even with a plastic window there is no need for a pillow... I just use a plush bathroom towel (color matched to my paint) in my C4 to protect the rear window...

My .02...save your money for another mod...maybe a window valet, if you don't already have one...that's a must have IMO for a vert owner

The divert-a-breeze works wonderfully for me and the wife as it really keeps the wind from constantly slapping the back of our heads. It's cheap, easy to store and sure beats $300+ for that other thing that has to be removed to put the top up. Go for it if you want it.

I'm with Blue Smooth here----get a window valet! One of the best "mods" I've done so far. And EZ---15 seconds to install and 10 minutes training.

I have a new dirvert a breeze that i used only once i will sell it to you for 20 buck shipped if you want it i didnt like it because i am 6'3" and my wife is 5'3" so the set location was different for each of us and it look bad on the car but as long as the seats were even it looked ok and worked ok for what it is just let me know.

I use the vette net i got at the last gp here about 6 months ago and love it works and looks great here is a pic.

I use the vette net and I think it works just fine. You do have to remove it to put the top up but it takes about a minute and it does slide into the trunk.

I'd be interested in the divert a breeze, if the original poster isn't.
