Default Tiger Shark Kit

I am on the fence with the tiger shark kit. I have an '01 sw z. The front cover is damaged and I have enough to purchase both pieces from the insurance check alone. But I am concerned about the brake ducts on the front. Can I retain these? And on the rear piece. Will it clear my borla stinger quad ovals? Wiring / lights - how involved is it?Any info will be helpful. Thanx.

TheTigershark C5 body kit is one of the simplest and sharpest body mods around.

I love the looks!! If you can swing it, go for it. Sounds like the ducting won't be an issue with the supplied kit.

Great. That answers my first question. But if somebody can chime in if they know whether or not the borla ovals will clear the rear clip, that would be a big help. thanx

Not sure where I read it. But somebody was able to fit the stingers quads, but the mod meant cutting the quads into duals. But getting the duals alone won't help solve the problem as well. My suggestion is sell the Quad stingers and get the Corsa tigershark tips.

you may have an issue with the exhaust, a good idea would be to see if a forum member, that has the tigershark rear fascia, can measure the opening and compare that measurement to your exhaust.

the front fascia uses all of the factory lights and hardware.
it bolts on just like the factory fascia, fit and finish were flawless, mine just needed very minor prep before paint.

Your current exhaust would have to be modified. I had the regular 4 tip Corsa's and had to cut the outer 2 tips off to clear the TS rear. (These Corsa's are for sale if anyone is interested)

Here's some dimensions for you with the Corsa's on the car...

GHL's that I have now...

Thank you very much for the measurements GB. I would rather mod the fascia a tiny bit. I will have to research the materials. Has anybody cut and mended this type of material b4? My other option is to go with the spectre works gtr rear fascia. But the spoiler lip is not as dramatic as the sharks........

I would mod the exhaust before I messed with the rear fascia.

Ok. The tiger shark kit project is not going to happen. I just purchased the borla exhaust and I'm not about to hack it or replace it. Body mods were not on my list until it got hit. The tiger shark kit is beautiful. And I feel that the whole kit should be installed if one is going that route. If I had purchased the corsas I'd be ordering the kit. But I don't. So I am going back to oem look with Caravaggio wing and eventually the conards. Flush tail lights and the lower portion of the rear fascia blacked out. Like No Mercy's MTI Z07. Pics will be posted.

I have the whole kit, had the borlas 4 tip would not work, tryed the 2 tip would not fit. Called GHL , worked with them to make something. They now have a 2 tip that works. You can cut the borla 2 tip to fit but it will not be easy to get the right fit. the GHLs are polished from one end to the other. looks & sound good.

GB Vette, Ive been dying for these measurements, thanks a bunch. Got one more request for you. Can you measure from the ground to the top of the tips? Just want to know how high the tips can be before it touches the underside of the tip opening.

Thanks

The ground up measurement is going to be different on just about every Vette you measure. It depends on a lot of things, lowered, wheels/tires, etc. The top of the exhaust opening on the TS rear is in the same place as the stock one because of attaching points.

Default GO With Tiger Shark

It cost me around 150 dollars to have a stock TI z06 Exhaust modified. The wiring harness is easy with a soldiering iron and some shrink wrap, the parts are inlcuded in the kit all you are doing is cutting one break light wire to allows the rest of the harness to move freely, all holes are predrilled so your stock hardware will work. I would go for it, it just looks good and sets your car apart from every other corvette out there.

Got it, thats all I needed then. Just wanted to make sure the top of the exhaust opening on the TigerShark wasnt lower than the Stock rear. Thanks for your help.
