I understand that sound is subjective, but for those of you that have heard (in person) many of the aftermarket exhaust available for the C5 which would be the loudest? Which would be the softest. Rate them in order softest to loudest if you can. Trying to purchase an exhaust and have been searching the forums for input. Don't want drone and don't want LOUD. Just something more agressive than stock that will not have my head buzzing from drone, but OK if it screams at WOT. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Go with the Bassani system! You won't have that drone, and you still have that big block sound. I have the system on three C5's and a Ford Expedition....Love it. Great sound, yet you can still listen to tunes, talk on the phone, and unforturely still hear the spouse nag while driving down the road. Get into it and you'll have that Big Block sound!
You'll want to stay away from the SLP Loudmouths and Borla Stingers. Sounds like a Corsa Pace Car exhaust would fit what you're looking for very nicely.
For me, the best all around sound you can get is with the GHL Bullets. Nice muscle car sound without the resonance. Beyond the sound you get excellent quality backed by superior customer service.

I agree. My Pace Cars are nice and quiet at cruise, but at WOT, they are real screamers. I also think that the Tigershark tips are worth the extra cash.
I'm partial to my B & B PRT's, I believe a nicer "muscle car" tone, verses the Corsa Indy's at higher RPM's. Indy's are a nice system, just didn't like the Indy car scream at WOT. Just my .02

You are describing the best (IMO) system which is also the cheapest and lightest. GM's own Z06 Titanium exhaust. I got it, and it sounds EXACTLY as you describe. Silent, relatively, at cruise but talks at WOT. Bonus: Really cool idle sound and between cleanings they turn kinda' copper colored. Perfect fit. $70 install. No-brainer. You can hold the entire system over your head with ease. Got mine for $400 on the forum. They look great. Buy them now.

I know there are other good exhaust systems out there, but I don't know how any could sound any better.
I've had the Corsa Pace Car system since day one. I've always been happy with it. During normal driving, the system is noticeable but not too loud or resonance. About 2 years ago, I added the LG longtube system w/o cats. It's still relatively mild during normal driving but at WOT it is quite a bit louder.

looked on their site and saw multiple options...Which did you go with/recommend?

Would you rate the B&B as louder than the Indy's or not. Where do the Pace car version fit in as to sound level?

Humm...Interesting alternitive I did not consider. Where would you rate these as to sound level compared to the Indys, Pace and B&B.
With 1st place being the loudest and last place being the softest. Rate these as best you can.
I have quad tip B&B Bullets and love them, but from your description they probably arent for you. They have a definite rumble at idle and a slight drone while cruising and absolutely roar at WOT.
