While putting on my new cat back exhaust(Corsa Pace Car), I found my sway bar end links were shot. The rubber boots were all dry rotted and basically crumbled when touched. The car is only a 1999 and has never been out of FL.
Are these end links a dime a dozen? or did the owner before me drive really hard?
The old links were black/hardened rubber or plastic looking. The new ones I got from the dealer are silver metal in color, they look more heavy duty than the old ones.
Check with Gene@Fred Beans... he'll get you the best price.
Since I was doing the exhaust at the same time and links were really shot, I didn't want to wait. I paid 60 bucks out the door for two at the stealership.
I ended up reading that GM upgraded the old plastic links to the new cast aluminum ones a few years ago.
I haven't looked at the front ones yet. Afraid of what I might find.
I suggest changing all four to the aluminum end links since your under there anyways. It will also improve handling not having the plastic end links flexing during cornering.

I do plan on that. Very busy weeked. Was just able to get exhuast on. As soon as I some more time and $$$ I am going to change those links. Thanks
