IMO it's money well spent. I've seen all the stories about lock up's here on the forum and that's all it took!

The CLB is good insurance but it may not work 100% of the time.
Mine's been installed in my '04 since March. One day a couple of weeks ago I got the WAIT 10 SECS REINSERT KEY message three times. I didn't follow the instructions twice; did on third message and it started and ran OK.
Since that day all has been well again.
