Well, about a week ago I started blowing massive amounts of steam out the exhaust enough that it was leaking collant out of the mufflers. This was about 6 weeks after the H/C. Pulled plugs and #2 cylinder was funky so I pulled the head. Blown Cometic gasket. Had the head check and it had no cracks and was flat.
Cleaned everything up and reassembled. BTW added the LS6 galley pan/PVC and FAST LSX and LS2 TB while I was at it.
It fired right up and idled at 850 rpm just like before. I took it out on the country Interstate to cook off the coolant in the exhaust system. The car is running unbelievably well. I think I must have been running on less than 8 cylinders for a little while or the FAST/LS2 TB made a huge SOTP difference. Traction control is coming on in the middle of third when it hits the cam. I don't know if the SD tune that PHIL97SVT held good for the FAST and LS2 TB but the car just screams. I'm still going to get him to check it out but for now it runs GREAT.
