Default 4 post lift owners help

I've just purchased another corvette (2004 Z06) and I'm thinking of putting in a lift for storage. My garage ceiling is 11'2" high.

With that height and moving the door rails and opener up to the top I should have a working height of 10'6" according to Overhead Door company.

Will this work out for storage of a C4 and a C5? Any advice on lifts, installation, or garage door changes to make this a success.

Thanks

Just do the addition. Height of C5 + Height of C4 + Height of ramp (6") + 4"-6" clearance to lock and unlock.

If this adds up to less than the height of your ceiling, you're good to go.

By the way, lots of threads about lifts on the forum right now.

I have a 9'8" ceiling in my garage and my C2 fits nicely above my C5 with room (not a lot) to spare. Most of the lift companies recommend a 10' minimum ceiling height.

I have 10' 1' clearance with my 4 post lift
with my vette on lift I can stand under car to work on it and I am 6ft tall and still have a few inches to spare
you should have no problem with clearance
They sure make life easier working on the vette

The following three threads cover it pretty well... at least maybe you can narrow down the questions you may have this way?

I think something else that maybe was not covered in all of this info was the fact that when your door is up and the car is under it, the rear deck or the hood portion is lower than your roof area allowing PLENTY of clearance... Stacking two vettes with 11' 2" of clearance is easy!!
