Another proud member of the "give me" generation rather than the "earn it" generation?
Ain't that the truth. My neighbors have a couple of kids that are in their late teens/early 20s. They are very good kids. But at a neighborhood party I was talking to one of them who made some comment about "getting out of school and into a neighborhood like this one." Now this isn't a 'rich' neighborhood, but the houses are all larger and go for mid-400k range. This kid really thought that his first house should be like what his parents have.

I was telling my wife this exact thing yesterday..It's especially dangerous when you encounter this type of behavior on the road/freeway..
Sorry about that... Must have been something about this week because I noticed it on mine too. I did immediately think that it could of been worse (keyed) and was not as mad anymore. But still.........
This just happened to myself about 3 days ago. I walk out of work and sure enough someone spit all over the front of my windshield. And it was not just spit, it was some type of candy looking mess that was chewed up and spit all over the front of my windshield. Sorry for the gross details. I was mad, but this was the first incident that someone messed with my car, and I was kind of expecting it living in CA. All you can do is clean the mess off and dont get too worked up about it. That person who decided to spit on your car is jealous and pissed off at you for having something that they will never be able to own or appreciate. I would like to catch the person, but what can you do, be paranoid and install cameras? What goes around comes around is my philosophy.
i really dont think it was anyone that i know....i really think people are just *******s and have no respect for peoples things anymore....its really sad...
ok,ok,....Ya,.. Im a sorta of a colt commander kind of guy too but,.... not gonna happen! first these people are COWERDS to the bone! :o And this WILL escalate! They know when they can get away with it! What youre goning to have to do is tell your supervisor and if you get a chance tell his supervisor this sorta puts it in their court in case you must tell your insuance company that you told them your company might put pressure on them at that point and the smart companys KNOW it! so it is in their best interests to take an intrest right away!
If all they did was spit on your Vette I wouldn't worry about it at all. They can do a lot worse things to your Vette. I came out of a service station a couple of years ago and saw that another customer there had spit on our Vette. There were about 5 different guys there that it could have been. I confronted them about it and NONE had the ***** to say they did it. My reward was their backing down and not having the ability to back up their actions. The people that do that are cowards. They don't have the MANHOOD to stand in front of us and do their act. They slink in when no one is watching. These types are not ALPHA males. As you can tell I don't think much of a person that doesn't have the decency to stand up for his own actions. They are not men, they are something less. Unfortunately we see more of these types lately.

This has got to be the same person who did it before. Some people are really sick it has to be someone young i really can't see some one mature doing something like that standing their and spitting on someones car. It's ashame you can't set some kind of camra up in your car and catch the little creep.
If there's a next time get a sterilized swab of spit and have a DNA test done on it and see if you can determine who it belongs to. Can you imagine the expression on their face when the cop says "you spit on this car, and can prove it".
OR, if you can fine out who'd doing it you may want to leave a BIG deposit of your own on his hood!
Happened to me too!!!! Went out during the summer for a few cocktails and when I came up to my car to go home there was a big glob of spit on my hatch where the emblem is.WHAT THE FRIG IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
At least they didnt Key it. It's probably somebody that doesnt like you personally rather then a general vette hater. Unless it's a mustang driver thats tired of getting his cammed puny beat by stock LS1/6's

Mine got keyed. I would prefer the spit. Either way people that do these things need a good.......

It's not right, and I'm not defending it, merely suggesting an explanation.
But I also think that suggesting someone should be shot for spitting on a car is going a little overboard too.
Hyperbole; I don't believe the posters meant it literally.

People are asses in general. About 20 years ago I bought a nice Astroglass boat after saving up for quite a while. I stopped at a local quick stop market for some snacks, and came out to find a cigarette butt smodering in one of the seats and another burning a hole in the carpeting. A witness saw two of the local hilljack goat-f**kers tossing the butts into the boat and one of them popped off that anyone who could afford a nice boat must be a 'yuppie pr*ck' and take this....
