I know some feel this is a sin, but I think not racing the car is a worse sin. I'm considering a tire trailer for AutoX and track events, but want to see what a hitch looks like.
Anyone with a photo of the hitch installed to see how it looks?
I for one am not a believer in towing anything with the Vette, but I know others have towed. Heres a post with some good reference from another member:
What I'm most curious about is the look of the C5 with a hitch installed. Not with the trailer attached, I want to see how noticable the hitch is on the C5?
Contact trainman2... or trainman 2 however his name is... He pulls a small train service vehicle behind his car.... He may have pics already or can get you some...
Try the autocross / roadrace section as well. A bunch of those guy's pull their tires and tools behind them. You really dont see the hitch, it's a hidden style by design.
I use the Draw-Tite. After careful review, I like it better than the Dalan/Kurt unit. If you don't wanna drill the 1" holes in the frame to put them on, I believe you can remove the rear bumper cover to access the inner part of the frame.

I also have a Draw-Tite - I think it's less visible than an exhaust plate. Without the trailer hooked up, no-one, absolutely no-one, has ever made a comment about seeing it. If I remember, I'll take some photos but there's very little to see.
A real plus about having a hitch is that when one of your exhaust brackets fails hundreds of miles from home over a holiday weekend, it's in just the right spot so that you can loop a large hose-clamp around it and the exhaust and get on your way. "Hose Clamps, never leave home without them".
